Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our healthcare team. The HCA will support nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Take and record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Support nurses and doctors during examinations and treatments.
- Help patients with feeding and ensure hydration and nutrition.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient areas.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to medical staff.
- Assist with transporting patients between departments or facilities.
- Ensure medical supplies are stocked and equipment is clean and functional.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certification in Healthcare Assistance or similar field (preferred).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (preferred but not essential).
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Working Conditions:
- Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays may be required.
- Physical demands including lifting, standing, and moving patients.
